Subnational governments are already key funders of culture across the United Kingdom and play a strategic role in unlocking its full social and economic benefits for local communities. This Research Paper explores how they could play a larger role in local cultural decision making in future, and what the opportunities and challenges associated with trying to achieve this might be.
