Connecting Through Culture As We Age

We worked with leading researchers at the University of Bristol and the Arts and Humanities Research Council to develop policies that support people to take part in their creative and cultural life as they get older.

Culture Commons is working closely with leading researchers at the University of Bristol and a large number of sector partners on a major UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) ‘Healthy Ageing Challenge’ programme to explore how and why people take part in arts and culture as they get older.

Through a series of inclusive innovation processes, the 'Connecting Through Culture As We Age' team are encouraging cross sectoral collaborations in designing new products, services and experiences, and support the creative and cultural sector to better understand the needs of diverse older adults.

We're working to make sure findings, implications and recommendations emerging from research are made available to policy makers, and the creative and cultural sectors and beyond, to maximise impact on policies at the local and national levels.
